Walnut Shell Craft

The walnut shells provide a very strong base and can be used in art collages with the help of some glue, acrylic colours and little bit of imagination.

These two crafts were made by me by pasting walnut shells on a fixed base and then adding colours after proper drying. The good part about this craft is the texture remains same over the years once the shells are properly scraped off and dried before use.

M-Seal

The M-seal used for sealing pipe leaks is a very easily available medium for moulding crafts.

1) This figure was made using a Terracotta pipe available in market for smoking tobacco (Chillam/ ছিলিম) as base for the body. 

2) This figure was made using a small glass bottle as base with the provision of opening and closing of cap/head.

Quilling

Quilling or more specifically Paper Quilling is an art form of creating designs and images using strips of coloured paper that are rolled, shaped and glued together. The strips are easily available at market or it can be cut out with patience from any paper sheet. I basically started quilling using some basic tips over internet. Let me share three of my quilling experiments.

 

    1)    The tribal lady

    The black acrylic colour was first painted for the figure and quilling was done for headgear, dress and other accessories.

2)    Ant colony

This was made with basic 3 quilling bits for each ant and some comic add-ons.

3)    Couple owl

The basic owl figure was made first and then the background was filled.
